Meet our colleagues that assist the best spine Surgeons team Florida has to offer.
Nicole Bowers is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a concentration in Orthopedic Spine surgery. She graduated from Florida International University’s College of Medicine PA program in 2017 and completed her undergraduate studies at Florida State University.
Nicole works closely in all aspects of spine, both surgical and nonsurgical care, alongside Dr. Robert Norton. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, she worked as a Guest Relations Associate in the Broward Health District.
Nicole is also involved in mentoring future PAs and ARNPs through shadowing experiences.
Dan Burkholtz is a Physician Assistant who works closely with Dr. Norton in all aspects of both surgical and nonsurgical care. He graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Medicine PA program and completed his undergraduate coursework in Gainesville as well.
Dan has worked in the Spine surgery field for over 15 years. He believes that each patient’s symptoms and pain is unique; understanding their condition and diagnosis is critical to helping them achieve their best possible quality of life.
Elizabeth Moore is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner with over five years of experience in spine and pain management. She completed her Master’s in Nursing with a specialty in family practice at Pace University in New York City in 2014.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
Elizabeth is well versed in multimodality management of acute and chronic pain conditions.
Andrew Weiss, DPT
Andrew Weiss is a Physical Therapist, athlete and educator. He received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Science from Touro College School of Health Science, graduating top of his class. He was awarded with the prestigious Academic Excellence Award upon graduation.
Andrew treats an array of patients, including those suffering from sports, orthopedic and neurological conditions. He creates customized treatments that integrate education, neuro reeducation, therapeutic exercise and other strategic techniques.
Andrew’s unique approach to healing adapts a biopsychosocial model that is both evidence-based and holistically informed.
Nicole Vega is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in pain management and works closely with Dr. Auerbach. She provides in-office care as well as assisting with minimally invasive procedures at the surgery center. She graduated from Florida International University’s PA program in 2020 and completed her undergraduate studies at Felician University. Originally from New Jersey, Nicole has prior experience in Emergency Medicine at Overlook Medical Center in Union and Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville. She is dedicated to building relationships with her patients and working with them to establish their healthcare goals and needs. Nicole resides in Delray Beach and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
